“The Center for DSD, in partnership with the Puntland Non-State Actors Association (PUNSAA), unveiled an election situation room at SAFARI Hotel in Qardho. This initiative aims to centralize and coordinate the efforts of local observers stationed across Qardho, Eyl, and Ufayn districts in Puntland.
To enhance the efficiency of data collection, observers have been equipped with tablets and undergone thorough training on using SMS and the Open Data Kit (ODK) platform to submit their reports. This comprehensive approach ensures a standardized and streamlined method for gathering data and conducting analysis. By providing modern technology and extensive training, the initiative aims to improve the accuracy and reliability of collected information, facilitating more informed decision-making processes.
Moreover, the Center has deployed 10 skilled data clerks to bolster the reporting process. Their role was to provide technical assistance and support to observers, ensuring that the collected data is accurate, timely, and effectively utilized.
